Unconditional love, healthy & tasty food, meditation, a feel-good wake-up AM routine to start the day, a wind-down PM routine, and a light hearted approach to the day make MY world go round these days! This is one of the awesome things I learned and have implemented in my health coaching too! HOW you start the day is likely HOW your day CAN end up! You always have the choice to REVERSE the flow during the day IF things go awry! My arsenal includes a good morning brush with my cat Van, listening to a 5-20min “meditation” on my YouTube app, glass of lemon water, saying out loud what I am appreciative for, and allowing my self enough time to shower and get ready w/o feeling rushed to get out the door. Sometimes I do my computer work at home and have a joyful slow rise to the day that also includes a smoothie and climbing the stairs in my condo building for a short workout. Sometimes I also walk down to Whole Foods and get a Matcha late that feels warm and fuzzy on my insides. I rarely just roll out of bed and go these days. This more relaxed wake-up process has improved my outlook and mood and helped create a positive, relaxed and joyful day! In the evening it is the same thing. Evening has been more of a challenge for me but I have tried hot showers, bath with salts and/or essential oils, cup of tea, no TV, no Phone, meditation, listening to self-help authors on YouTube, hanging out with the cat, calling a friends or family, listening to audio book or reading, and sunset walks outside. They all seem to impact a better night sleep. It’s really just about implementing and finding new habits to try out and see what feels good and sticks long term. I will also mention that no coffee and very low stress for the day help me have the best night sleep too! ZZZzzzzzz So a beautiful day CAN be created by YOU! If you really want to feel more at peace, be less stressed, feel easy peasy throughout the day, want to enjoy what the day has to offer, and have a day that feels good and feels fulfilling! I definitely recommend these 2 types of shifts in your daily/weekly routine! Be creative and try new things and see what feels best on YOU! Give yourself time and eventually you will come up with some easy to implement AM and PM things that can kickstart and wind down your days so you feel awesome!!! Take care of yourself!
